House Beautiful recently released its 2012 regional Color Report. The report surveyed thousands of readers, interior designers and designer bloggers alike, asking what colors they “can’t live without.” From favorite color to paint the bedroom (blue) to hottest color trends for 2012 (purple and orange), House Beautiful gives us a look at where our color palette is as a nation.

 Take a look at some of their findings below:

Orange is a favorite color among Southern interior designers, which isn’t surprising, since it is after all the Pantone color of the Year.

We used orange in this living room to add a pop of color to the neutral color palette.

According to the HB poll, yellow is their go-to color for the kitchen, edging out white by a slight margin.

And the “It” color of the season? Purple.
